Hot-Rolled Steel Sheet Piles
Hot-rolled steel sheet piles are formed by shaping the steel into profiles using high temperatures during the rolling process. Hot-rolled steel sheet piles are typically produced in accordance with BS EN 10248. Compared to cold-rolled steel sheet piles, hot-rolled steel sheet piles can achieve greater thicknesses and tend to have tighter interlocking clutches.
Cold-rolled and Cold-rolled Steel Sheet Piles
Cold rolling and forming processes involve shaping steel sheet piles at room temperature. The thickness of the profile remains constant across the width of the profile. Cold-rolled/formed steel sheet piles are typically produced in accordance with BS EN 10249. Cold rolling is performed using continuous sections of hot-rolled coil, while cold forming is performed using uncoiled hot-rolled coil or discrete lengths of steel plate. A wide range of widths and depths are available.
