Why are Steel Sheet Piles used in So many European Projects?

Steel sheet piles are interlocking steel products primarily used for soil retention applications, both temporary and permanent.

Steel sheet piles are reusable and 100% recyclable, providing a cost-effective support solution.

Steel sheet piles, interlocked together to form continuous wall systems, can be used in a variety of scenarios, such as trench support, microtunnel pit support, cofferdams, deep foundation pits, retaining walls, and, in marine locations, for riverbank protection, land reclamation, and seawalls.

Steel sheet piles come in various profiles, sizes, lengths, and steel grades. They are also manufactured using different methods: hot-rolled and cold-formed.

Steel sheet piles are used for both temporary and permanent retention. They are commonly used in retaining walls, where they are driven and interlocked by vibrators. Casings (caissons) are used to lay pipes to increase strength or prevent ground collapse.

Steel sheet piles are widely used in civil and hydraulic engineering projects. In the Netherlands, in particular, with its low ground level, high water levels, and poor soil conditions, construction projects rely heavily on sheet piles. Many projects in European countries can only be realized using steel sheet piles.

Due to the high quality of Hanzi's steel sheet piles, they are used in numerous projects across Europe.
