Advantages of U-Type Steel Sheet Piles:
1. Available in a wide variety of specifications and models.
2. The combination of significant section depth and flange thickness provides excellent static performance.
3. Designed and manufactured according to European standards; the symmetrical structure facilitates reuse, offering performance comparable to hot-rolled equivalents during repeated use.
4. Lengths can be customized to client requirements, providing significant construction convenience and cost savings.
5. Ease of production allows for customization in advance, particularly when used in conjunction with composite piles.
6. Short design and production cycles; pile performance characteristics can be tailored to specific client needs.
Applications of U-Type Steel Sheet Piles:
Steel sheet piles are highly versatile. In permanent structures, they are used for wharves, loading docks, embankment protection, walls, retaining walls, breakwaters, training dikes, dry docks, sluice gates, and more. In temporary structures, they are used for cofferdams, temporary coastal extensions, water cut-offs, bridge cofferdams, and water/sand retention during trench excavation for large-scale pipeline laying. They are also utilized for flood control, landslide prevention, and sand retention.
