FMO steel sheet piles are primarily used in Europe and some African countries. The length of the steel sheet piles can be customized based on processing conditions and the characteristics of the roll-bending process. Our U-shaped steel sheet piles are not limited in length.
The contractor's required product length should be considered based on available transportation methods and routes. The longest profile we ship is 55 meters.
Steel sheet pile transportation is subject to various restrictions: road transportation must consider traffic regulations and actual road conditions; sea transportation requires consideration of the unloading site, machinery, and offshore weather conditions. To prevent significant bending moments and deformation during transportation, the sheet piles should be placed with spacers and sleepers, and strapped with steel strapping. It is important to note that each section of surface-treated steel sheet pile should be separated in some way, and soft sealing pads should be used on the strapping tape.
When transporting extra-long steel sheet piles, after meeting the above packaging requirements, the transport vehicle should be equipped with at least five sleepers per 20 meters to prevent deformation and ensure that the piles remain level.
