What are PAU and PAL Steel Sheet Piles?

PAU and PAL U-shaped steel sheet piles are most widely used in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands. Due to the sandy soil, wide, thin steel sheet piles are an ideal solution. Made from thin steel sheets, PAU and PAL steel sheet piles are lightweight and easy to handle, allowing for quick and efficient installation. Arcelor steel sheet piles, despite being made from thin steel sheets, offer exceptional strength due to their efficiently designed cross-sectional shape.

U-shaped steel sheet piles were first produced in the UK in 1955, and many new specifications have been developed to suit various applications. Due to their excellent workability, waterproofing, and cross-sectional properties, U-shaped sheets are considered a reliable civil engineering material.

PAU Steel Sheet Pile Production Process

Qualified steel coils undergo uncoiling, pre-straightening, and butt welding in the production preparation section before entering the coiling and forming unit to be formed into profiles. The strip is bent by multiple pairs of forming rollers to achieve the desired cross-sectional shape. The strip is then straightened and cut to the specified length. After rigorous final product inspection, the products are packaged and stored.

The steel sheet pile production line process is as follows: Uncoiling - Leveling - Shearing and Butt Welding - Slitting - Roll Forming - Sawing - Inspection - Collection and Packaging - Storage.

We can provide calculations for contractors starting from the design phase. We provide clients with overall costs and pricing before the project begins. We can also advise on the selection of sheet pile hammers, sheet pile drivers, sheet pile drivers, and sheet pile drilling rigs.
