What are PZC and PZ Steel Sheet Piles?

PZ and PZC sheet piles, also known as Larsen sheet piles, are primarily used in the United States. Some Central American countries also prefer this cross-section.

Larsen steel sheet piles are widely used in watershed reconstruction and coastal infrastructure construction. China's economic development has been accompanied by the emergence of a series of large-scale projects. Furthermore, the construction of high-speed railways, intercity railways, and national highways all require foundations and cofferdams. In natural geological conditions such as crushed gravel (particle size less than 20mm), sand, and silt, with a bearing capacity below 100 kN/m², hot-rolled steel sheet piles can be driven up to 30 times.

Hot-rolled steel sheet piles are made from thinner steel plates (commonly 8mm to 14mm thick) using a roll-forming machine. They offer low production costs, a low price, and flexible length control. However, the monotonous processing method and the uniform thickness of all sheet piles result in larger cross-sectional dimensions and prevent optimal steel usage.

Customers can select the most economical and reasonable cross-section based on their project needs, optimizing the design. Compared to similar products, this product saves 10-15% in material, significantly reducing project costs.
