What are MSZ Heavy-Duty Cold-Formed Steel Sheet Piles?

Mega Zee 19 steel sheet piles (MSZ19-340 and MSZ19-350) should allow for simultaneous work on a suspended scaffold with a design working load of 500 lbs. This load should be applied during high water levels. The effective unit weight should be used for internal and external stability calculations. No more than three employees should work simultaneously on a suspended scaffold (MSZ19-406) with a working load of 750 lbs. This problem may be exacerbated by the impact of the Grand MSZ19-375 river on the left side of the foundation. Each employee should wear an approved full-body safety harness and be attached to an independent lifeline for personal protection. Be aware of scupper holes with limited drainage capacity.

 

Heavy-duty cold-formed steel sheet piles (MSZ19-375) should be securely attached to a primary structural member (not the scaffold) or to an installed rope to safely suspend the employee in the event of a fall. The sheet pile is supported by three H-shaped steel piles embedded in bored pile posts and capped with masonry to blend in with the numerous masonry walls (far right) of the MSZ19-350 block. When using prefabricated metal platforms, they should be tested and certified according to MSZ19-340 by Underwriters Laboratories, Factory Mutual Engineering Corporation, or another recognized agency. I. Scaffolding Planks 1. Planks should be inspected daily. Planks should meet the established structural rating. Any cracked or damaged planks should be removed from service.
