It is understood that the consumption structure of hot-rolled steel sheet piles abroad is roughly as follows: 60% is used for one-time permanent structures, and approximately 40% is reused in temporary structures.
The reuse of steel sheet piles is handled by professional piling rental companies. For example, Germany's ThyssenKrupp has a chain of 13 professional piling and rental companies in Germany, essentially covering the domestic market.
Japan currently rents and drives over 1 million tons of steel sheet piles annually. Besides Japan, Singapore and South Korea also have well-developed steel sheet pile rental and piling industries.
Currently, global annual consumption of steel sheet piles exceeds 3 million tons, with Europe accounting for approximately 500,000 to 600,000 tons and North America also reaching over 500,000 tons. In Asia, Japan consumes 500,000 to 600,000 tons annually, South Korea consumes approximately 200,000 tons, and Southeast Asia consumes nearly 200,000 tons (including 100,000 tons in Singapore).
