Larsen sheet piles are all sheet piles with Larsen interlocking systems, invented by Larsen in the 20th century.
As a green, reusable foundation material, Larsen sheet piles offer advantages such as durability, simplicity, light weight, excellent cross-sectional shape, impermeability, ease of use, and safety and environmental friendliness.
Compared to other construction methods, hot-rolled steel sheet piles are easy to install, occupy a small space, offer flexible and simple construction operations, and are quick and easy to operate. They are suitable for rapid rescue operations in disasters such as floods, landslides, collapses, and sandstorms. Their lightweight structure is also superior to other structures, offering greater load-bearing capacity and enhanced seismic resistance. Larsen steel sheet piles have a service life of up to 50 years, significantly reducing construction workload and protecting the environment.
Although the application of Larsen sheet piles is still in its infancy and lags significantly behind Western countries, these gaps present both motivation and opportunity for steel sheet pile suppliers. China's advanced application technologies are also driving production, design, and construction in the construction industry. Based on the numerous advantages of steel sheet piles in construction projects, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued the national standard for "U-Shaped Hot-Rolled Steel Sheet Piles," which officially came into effect on December 1, 2007. This standard marks a milestone for the future development of steel sheet pile products and applications, and is of great significance to all steel sheet pile suppliers in China.
