What are SKSP Steel Sheet Piles?

SKSP steel sheet piles are suitable for use in temperate climates. SKSP Type IIW, IIIW, and IVW steel sheet piles can be driven to the desired final height using an IHC S90 hydraulic hammer. Where pile foundations are required to support bridges or where construction speed is critical, SKSP Types IA, II, IIA, III, IIIA, IV, LV, and VI are the most cost-effective. Sumitomo is a cost-effective manufacturer.

Reinforced concrete is the most commonly used building material for small and medium-sized structures, such as those used to support residential buildings and apartments. The installation process involves embedding the sheet piles into a pile frame and then driving them in with an ICE 815 vibratory hammer until they are immobilized. Bridge abutments made from SKSP sheet piles serve as both foundations and abutments and can be driven in a single operation, minimizing the space and time required for construction. Precast panels, 5 to 8 meters (16 to 24 feet) deep, feature tongue-and-groove joints for efficient installation. Dense concrete with a water-cement ratio of 0.44 to 0.40 is recommended.

Key requirements for road widening include minimizing land occupation and expediting SKSP sheet pile construction—especially in lane lease situations.
