JFESP steel sheet piles come in many common types, such as IA, II, IIA, III, IIIA, IV, LV, LVL, IIW, IIIW, and IVW. JFE Steel Sheet Piles is a major manufacturer in Asia. Various manufacturers offer cross-sections and catalogs of various JFE Steel Sheet Piles and JFESP Steel Sheet Piles. The holes and lifting holes in the pile shaft should be lined with appropriate filters to prevent loss of backfill material. Beneath the gravel layer is a medium-dense to dense sand layer, which is overlain by a very dense sand layer, with the sandstone band located at approximately -13.0EL. The interlocking structure provides relatively close contact with the sand or soil, typically eliminating the need for filters. This close contact also provides substantial waterproofing, so evenly spaced drainage holes are recommended.
For projects where corrosion is a concern, minimum thickness sections can be provided to maximize the effective service life of the JFE Steel Sheet Piles. The typical minimum overall thickness requirement of 12 mm or 1/2 inch can be met. The coating should only be applied to the entire back side of the main wall pile and the 5-meter back side.
The specified coating for sheet piles may be sandblasting to SA2.5, followed by a 50-micron primer and a final coat of 400-micron coal tar epoxy paint.
