What are FSP Steel Sheet Piles?

FSP steel sheet piles are manufactured in Japan, South Korea, and China and can be used for a variety of temporary works and permanent structures. FSP Types IA, II, IIA, III, IIIA, and IV have a section width of 400 mm. FSP Types VI, VI, IIW, IIIW, and IVW have wider sections. FSP steel sheet pile production plants are located in Japan and Fuji. Seawalls are structures parallel to the shoreline used to protect elevated structures such as buildings, roads, port facilities, or artificially reclaimed areas. These sections are designed to achieve maximum strength and durability at the lowest possible weight while maintaining good piling quality.

The term "FSP" is sometimes used interchangeably with "seawall"; however, structures used as docks, piers, or ship landings are almost always referred to as diaphragm walls. Sheet piles are one of the most common types of retaining structures.

The existing seabed height near the proposed perimeter wall ranges from approximately -2.0 el to +1.0 el. FSP sheet piles have already filled the area to approximately +3.0 el. The fill material consists of dense to extremely dense gravel interspersed with pebbles and boulders. The segmented, interlocking design facilitates vertical construction and piling, achieving excellent results.
