Steel sheet pile construction is a complex and risky process. To ensure optimal performance, we will discuss the precautions for draining and reducing water levels during steel sheet pile construction.
1. Electrical components of pumping equipment must be properly protected against leaks, strictly adhering to grounding, neutral connection, and the use of residual current circuit breakers. Electrical wiring at steel sheet pile construction sites must be installed overhead, using a three-phase, five-wire system.
2. After excavation, the groundwater level should be maintained at 500mm below the bottom of the foundation pit to prevent groundwater from disturbing the underlying soil.
3. During the reduction process, adjacent existing buildings or structures, roads, and pipelines must be protected from settlement or deformation. If necessary, consult with the design and construction companies to implement protective measures such as refilling the existing building foundations.
