Steel sheet piles are steel plates with interlocking edges that are driven into the ground to provide permanent or temporary earth retention and excavation support. Hanzi has many years of experience in sheet pile engineering and has installed all types of temporary and permanent sheet pile retaining structures. Hanzi can provide sheet piles for a variety of retaining wall solutions, including sheet pile-supported walls, cantilevers, anchor walls, conventional and marine sheet piles, permanent retaining walls, temporary sheet piles, and oversized sheet pile walls.

Steel sheet piles can also be used in basements and cofferdams, providing a dry working environment for construction. With extensive experience in the design and installation of steel sheet piles, Hanzi works closely with clients, developers, and general contractors to provide value-engineered solutions regardless of the size or complexity of the project.

Sheet piles are typically made of steel, but can also be made of wood or reinforced concrete. Sheet piles are commonly used for retaining walls, land reclamation, underground structures (such as parking lots and basements), marine locations for riverbank protection, seawalls, cofferdams, and more. The choice of sheet pile depends on factors such as the type of work. Whether permanent or temporary. Site conditions. Required pile depth. Bending moments involved. Nature of the structure. Type of protection required.
