Steel sheet pile foundation is a deep foundation pit support technology that uses steel sheet piles as the core support components. Through the interlocking of the pile joints, a continuous retaining and water-blocking closed wall is formed, suitable for engineering scenarios with various complex geological conditions.

1. Core Structure and Classification

1) Core Structure:

Steel sections with interlocking edges can be freely combined to form a continuous and tightly sealed support wall. The mainstream manufacturing process uses hot rolling, resulting in tight interlocking and good water tightness.

2) Common Types:

* U-shaped: The most widely used type, with excellent bending resistance, suitable for conventional foundation pit support and cofferdam projects.

* Z-shaped: High interlocking strength, capable of withstanding large lateral pressures, often used in large projects such as ports and docks.

* Straight Type: Simple construction, suitable for temporary shallow projects with low support requirements.

2. Core Features

1) Convenient and efficient construction, short construction period, small work site occupation, suitable for construction in confined urban spaces.

1) High durability, with a service life of 20-50 years under normal working conditions, and reusable 5-10 times, making it a green and environmentally friendly building material.

2) Excellent water-tightness, enabling rapid water stoppage and leak sealing, suitable for foundation pit operations in areas with high groundwater levels.

Overall rigidity is relatively low, requiring supporting or anchoring systems to control foundation pit deformation.

3. Typical Application Scenarios

Steel pipe sheet piles are widely used in wharf revetments, bridge cofferdams, deep foundation pit support, river regulation, and other projects. In key projects such as the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge and the Qiantang River Bridge, they serve as temporary support barriers to ensure construction safety.
